Bugti murder case: Govt seeks more time from BHC

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has sought four more weeks to collect ample evidence to ensure the extradition of former president Pervez Musharraf, the principal accused in the Nawab Bugti Murder case.

During Tuesday’s hearing, Deputy Attorney General Malik Sikandar told the division bench of the Balochistan High Court that the provincial government has, so far, not submitted the documents required to issue red-warrants against Musharraf as well as others accused in the case.

However, Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa reminded Sikander that during the hearing on June 27 he had assured that the FIA will take action against the accused once the interior secretary makes a formal request.
