RAWALPINDI:

The Punjab Education Department has issued a dress code for all male and female educators of government schools.

According to the latest circular, all teachers are strictly instructed to adhere to the dress code while coming to school.

Male teachers will wear a shalwar kameez or waistcoat, pants, shirt, and tie coat. Regular shaving is also mandatory for males.

Female teachers are required to wear a shalwar kameez and a scarf. Closed shoes are now mandatory for females.

The dresses and shoes should not be transparent.

The heads of all schools have been ordered to implement this dress code.

The circular has instructed teachers and head teachers that, as the last session has begun, they should focus all their attention on completing the syllabus.

Lectures should be given daily, with special attention paid to the children.

In addition to teaching, character-building should be a priority.

Supervision should be maintained during breaks and recess, ensuring that children do not leave the school premises through the main gate.

The circular further states that discipline should be upheld, and children should be encouraged to wash their hands after using toilets and washrooms, which should be equipped with water, towels, and soap.

Before closing schools, all doors, windows, electricity, bulbs, fans, heaters, and water pumps should be turned off.
