Kit Connor recently revealed in an interview with The LA Times that playing Nick Nelson on Heartstopper required him to undergo chest waxing every two weeks.

The 20-year-old British actor, known for his portrayal of the popular and kind-hearted Nick, explained that this grooming process was necessary to keep up the character's appearance, especially as more shirtless scenes were included in the upcoming season.

"It was pretty intense, but I had to do it to play a 17-year-old," Connor shared, highlighting the commitment he brought to the role. As the show matures in its third season, the story delves deeper into Nick and Charlie’s evolving relationship, and Connor wanted to make the scenes feel authentic.

“There are aspects of this season that are leaning into the more mature side of the story, and it needed to feel real.”

Connor has portrayed Nick Nelson for over three years now, becoming inextricably linked with the character. Despite the personal discomfort of waxing, he embraced the role’s physical and emotional demands as the show continues to explore deeper themes in its latest season.
