Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is making his acting debut in the FX series, Grotesquerie. The 34-year-old NFL star recently spoke about his excitement for fans to see his performance in the show.

In an episode of his podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Travis described Grotesquerie as a "mystery thriller" and said he was "sucked into" the genre. He also teased fans with a hint about his character, saying, "Are any of us alive?"

Show creator Ryan Murphy has given a rave review of Kelce's performance in the series, calling him "delightful" and saying he was "moved" by his ambition. Niecy Nash-Betts, who co-stars with Kelce in Grotesquerie, has predicted that fans will find him "very charming" in his role.

Travis' mother, Donna Kelce, is also excited to see her son on screen. She told PEOPLE that she's "not really" nervous and said she's been watching him perform since he was a child.

Grotesquerie premieres its first two episodes on Wednesday, September 25, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
