To celebrate being in a city where X (formerly Twitter) isn't blocked, actor Mahira Khan initiated a segment called #AskMahira, in which she encouraged her followers to ask questions for the sake of a light-hearted virtual connectivity session.

One of her followers wondered who her favourite actor to work with was, to which the Humsafar actor responded, "So many, but I'll tell you. I really enjoyed Ahmed Ali Akbar just now!" The two actors have not yet shared the screen, though this public praise does promise the possibility of a project in the future.

Mahira began the segment by addressing a fan's sentiment about missing her. "Oh, I miss everyone so much. And being on screen, too!" she wrote. The questions eased the 39-year-old actor into the session with soft concerns from fans.

The first of them asked, "First things first, how have you been? Getting enough rest and sleep or still a night owl like me?" Mahira replied, "Foot's not too good still. Some other stuff, you know - life! Can't complain, shouldn't, praise be to God." She then wished the fan account a very happy belated birthday.

"What learnings did you receive from Shah Rukh Khan while working on Raees?" asked another user. Mahira delightfully answered with a quote from the famed King Khan, "Give happiness a chance, baby!" Other questions included favourite female actors, for which she had a list ready: "Man, everyone is so good! Right now on TV - Yumna, Sajal, Hania, Kubra, Mawra, Sehar, Sabeena, Naeema, and many more. Endless list!"

Diving into some domestic revelations from her life, she also informed enthusiasts of her son's whereabouts. "My Azzu is too cool for his mama, kidding! No, my love, he is back home. He has school - big year. Keep him in your prayers," she wrote to a fan.

During the segment, another fan suggested that Mahira launch a production house that would create short series for TV, perhaps even films in the future. "It's complicated, especially if you're not churning out dramas which then can provide the money needed to make stuff like short series or films. I'm really trying to put a few stories together, maybe collaborate with other production houses. Let's see! God willing. PS: only love."

The session ended with the actor responding to a user whose parents took the same flight that she did. In response to the mom becoming an instant fan, Mahira was prompted to wonder aloud, "Aw, why? What happened? Give her my love and regards!"
