Kristen Bell recently opened up about her marriage to Dax Shepard, revealing that their success as a couple stems from being "polar opposites." In an exclusive interview with E! News, Bell explained how their differences, rather than driving them apart, have actually made their relationship stronger.

"I married my polar opposite," Kristen shared. "We argue about absolutely everything, but there is a foundational trust that we've built, and it’s stimulated by each other's opinions." She credits their contrasting personalities with pushing them out of their comfort zones and helping them grow both individually and together.

This dynamic is also reflected in her latest Netflix series, Nobody Wants This, which explores how relationships can thrive despite the couple appearing mismatched. Kristen admitted that she relates to the concept, saying, "I can definitely understand being attracted to someone who, on paper, seems wrong for you."

Bell and Shepard have been together for 17 years and married for over a decade. They’ve become a strong team, particularly when it comes to raising their daughters, Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 9. One of their key parenting rules is never lying to their kids, even when faced with tough questions. Kristen recalled an instance where Lincoln asked, “What happens when we die?” She and Dax looked at each other, unsure of how to answer, but ultimately told their daughter, “You might just become flowers, but you might end."

Despite their differences, Bell and Shepard’s relationship works because they value open communication, trust, and mutual growth. Their ability to embrace each other’s uniqueness keeps their bond strong, even when they argue over “everything.”
