All-women gang 'hypnotised' victims to enter homes

Police catch ringleader, her accomplices, recover goods worth almost Rs1m

Police have arrested the alleged ringleader of a gang that robbed housewives after allegedly hypnotising them. Five suspected accomplices of the ringleader, identified as Sahiba Hina, were also taken into custody during the joint operation conducted by the investigation and operation branches of Malir police.

The operation also yielded valuables worth nearly Rs1 million. The other five gang members have been identified as Babil Maqbool, Kaneez Fareed, Fatima Mehboob, Lubna, Shan, and Salma Abrar Hussain. The group was notorious for hypnotising women in their homes before stealing their belongings.

According to SP Investigation Uzair Memon, cases have been registered against the arrested women at Steel Town and Bin Qasim Town p[olice stataions.

Two affected families have identified the suspects, and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were recovered from them.

The gang is linked to cases registered in Lahore, Khairpur, Sukkur, and Karachi Cantt railway stations. The arrested suspects used to gain access to homes under the pretext of offering tuition and spiritual healing services to commit their crimes. Police are conducting more raids to arrest other members of the gang.
