Despite the anti-dengue campaign, cases of dengue are on the rise in Rawalpindi. In the last 24 hours, 57 individuals tested positive for dengue, bringing the total number of dengue patients receiving treatment in allied hospitals to 96.

So far, in this season, the number of confirmed dengue patients in the Rawalpindi district has reached 599. In the past 24 hours, 29 dengue patients were reported from Potohar Town, while 14 came from the Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation area, three patients from the Rawalpindi Cantonment area, Chaklala and Gujar Khan were confirmed to have dengue. Additionally, one patient from Kahota and two from the Potohar rural area tested positive for dengue. Potohar Town has become a hotspot for dengue in Rawalpindi.

The Rawalpindi Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner and the provincial secretary of the Punjab government have begun reviewing the anti-dengue campaign.
