From prison bars to “Dancing With The Stars!”

Anna Delvey, known for her fake heiress scam and now working as a fashion publicist, has joined the cast of the popular ballroom reality show, according to Page Six.

Delvey was imprisoned in 2019 for pretending to be a wealthy German heiress and defrauding businesses and individuals of over $250,000.

Since 2022, she has been under house arrest while awaiting a decision on her status in the US after completing her sentence. Recently, Page Six reported that the conditions of her house arrest have been eased, allowing her to work and travel within 70 miles of her residence.

Additionally, she has received a Social Security number and regained access to social media.

It appears she has been granted special permission to travel to Los Angeles, where the long-running ABC reality competition is filmed.

While other past contestants like Tommy Chong, Lil Kim, and Steve-O have had their own run-ins with the law, Delvey stands out as the first “DWTS” participant who gained fame through criminal activities.

She is already heading to LA to start preparing for the competition, as reported by Page Six.

Delvey has a busy schedule ahead. She recently launched a fashion PR agency, the OutLaw Agency, with veteran fashion publicist Kelly Cutrone and is preparing for her debut at Fashion Week as a (kinda) free individual.

This isn't her first time in the spotlight. Her life inspired the Netflix series “Inventing Anna,” and she’s also been developing her own reality show, “Delvey’s Dinner Club.”

A representative for “DWTS” mentioned that it does not comment on casting “rumors.”
