An FIR has been registered at Phalia Police Station in the Mandi Bahauddin district concerning the alleged theft of a milk packet.

The incident took place on August 20 and was reported on August 30 at approximately 3:50 PM at a small shop owned by Haji Arif in Hayat Gali.

The complaint was lodged by head constable Muhammad Iqbal (HC/713) of Phalia Police Station.

According to the details provided, the accused, identified as Suleman alias Chotu, son of Sardar, was arrested on suspicion of the crime.

The arrest occurred on August 31, 2024, at 8:00am.

The FIR, numbered 962/24, was filed under Section 379 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), which pertains to theft.

The report indicates that the accused allegedly stole a milk packet from the shop, an act which was reportedly conducted under the threat of a knife, as noted in the statement by Shahida, the shopkeeper's wife.

Following the information received from a confidential informant, the police questioned Suleman, who subsequently confessed to the theft.

The FIR was formally registered following his confession.
