KARACHI:

Recent heavy rainfall has caused several sewage lines of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation to sink in, prompting urgent repair work.

CEO of Water Corporation, Engineer Syed Salahuddin, has directed that repairs be completed promptly to prevent further damage.

According to Chief Engineer of Sewerage Aftab Alam, the submerged lines include a 24-inch sewage line on Tariq Road at two locations, as well as 30-inch lines in Gulistan-e-Johar Block 5 and 18-inch lines in Block 15 and Jehanabad Sohrab Goth Town.
