Man held over rape allegation

LAHORE:

The police have apprehended a suspect accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a woman colleague by luring her with the promise of a better job.

The accused, identified as Adnan, was employed at the same shop as the victim and allegedly lured her with the promise of a better job before sexually assaulting her. According to SSP Investigation Dr Anoush Masood, Adnan exploited the victim by recording videos of the assault and subsequently using them to blackmail her, resulting in multiple instances of abuse. The victim's mother filed an abduction report at the South Cantonment Police Station, which led to an investigation.

The suspect was captured by the Specialised Sexual Offences Investigation Unit (SSOIU) of the Cantonment Division.
