RAWALPINDI:
This is with reference to Marvi Memon’s article “A revolution?” (June 30). Ms Memon has shown her passion for those suffering from denial of justice by joining a sit-in and a long march. Her understanding of widespread poverty and deprivation merits praise. But her remark about a revolution waiting around the corner is off the mark. Ours is a society based on networking and patronage. A poor man would rather seek help from a bigwig than follow the vague promises of a revolutionary. I am anxious to know if Ms Memon means what she has written? If yes, then it will be our turn to sit up and take note.
