NAB will withdraw three references against President Asif Ali Zardari including Polo ground, Cotecna and ARY cases.

Express June 29, 2010

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will withdraw three references against President Asif Ali Zardari.

Express has learned that NAB’s legal team has decided to withdraw the Polo ground, Cotecna and ARY cases against the president. However, no such plea has so far been filed in the concerned court.

Legal experts note that if the reference is withdrawn then the Supreme Court decision in the NRO case would automatically stand invalid.

On Monday, NAB withdrew certain corruption references against Federal Interior Minister, Rehman Malik.
