Balochistan flooding: Efforts underway to rescue Hindu pilgrims

QUETTA:

The Lasbela administration along with Abdul Sattar Edhi are making efforts to rescue over 250 Hindu pilgrims who had been stranded for the last five days due to a flash flood in Hingol River, some 650 km south-west of Quetta, triggered by heavy rains in the area.

According to sources, the pilgrims, including women and children, went to the Hinglaj area to perform rituals in the oldest temple in the region on Wednesday where they were marooned in the wake of torrential rains.

Pakistan Navy personnel are also participating in the rescue operation and using their boats to rescue the stranded people.
