QUETTA:

Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) staged a protest demonstration outside the Quetta Press Club on Saturday to condemn the suicide attack on an Eid congregation in Marriabad on August 31.

The protesters chanted slogans against government and law enforcement agencies for their failure to protect human lives. They were also carrying placards and banners, demanding strict action against the culprits behind the attack.

Addressing demonstration, the information secretary of HDP, Mohammad Raza Wakeel, condemned the incident and said: “The terrorists are pushing Balochistan to the brink of civil war and that, too, on a sectarian basis,” said Wakeel. Accusing the provincial government of being incompetent which was why the terrorists were carrying out such attacks with complete impunity.
