17 caught in raids; cash, stolen goods seized

At least nine pistols, ten stolen motorcycles and hundreds of thousands of cash were recovered

DIJKOT:

Teams from four police stations arrested 17 suspected members of five different robbers’ gangs and seized millions of rupees in cash, mobile phones, weapons and stolen motorcycles from their possession.

According to the police report, SHO Ghulam Mohammad Abad, Ali Ikram Guriah, ASI Rana Najam-ul-Hasan and Sajjad Ahmed conducted raids in different areas and arrested nine suspects from two gangs, identified as Ahsan, Allah Ditta, Qasim, Nadeem, Faisal, Jameel and Osama among others. The aforementioned suspects were allegedly involved in ten cases of robbery.

The raid team seized nine pistols, ten stolen motorcycles and hundreds of thousands of rupees in cash from the accused and started an investigation. The accused also allegedly shot citizens during robberies. Police are conducting raids to arrest the remaining accomplices of the arrested accused.

In a separate raid, Sub-Inspector Waqas of CIA Iqbal Town Police arrested Sahil Munir, Zeeshan and Nasir in 232 RB and seized three pistols, mobile phones and two motorcycles.

Meanwhile, ASI Ilyas of Madina Town Police arrested Amir and Mohsin during a raid in Model City 208 RB and seized a stolen motorcycle and two pistols. People’s Colony Police arrested Shah Jahan and three other suspects.
