Sindh Labour and Human Resources Minister, Saeed Ghani has said that the residents of Karachi voted in favour of the Pakistan People's Party in the recent local government elections on the basis of the services rendered by the PPP's Sindh government.
A statement issued on Saturday quoted the Sindh labour minister as saying that the Jamaat-e-Islami has been attempting to spread the politics of hatred in Karachi.
Ghani said the JI Karachi leader, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rahman, had been attempting to assume the role of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan in Karachi.
He said that the JI neither liked the situation of peace in the educational institution nor it favourably viewed the development of Karachi.
He said the JI was given Karachi's mayoral post as an undue favour whenever in the past there was a dictatorial regime in the country.
He said, the JI Karachi leader should hear loud and clear that the upcoming mayor of Karachi would be a die-hard worker of the People's Party. He said the next PPP's mayor would serve the people of Karachi in the best possible manner.
