The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) cybercrime unit has arrested a Pakistani man for sexually harassing and blackmailing an Australian minor girl using social media.
According to the FIA, the cybercrime wing sprang into action on the complaint of the Australian High Commission, registering a First Information Report (FIR) under sections 21, 22, and 24 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), 2016.

The suspect, identified as Islamabad resident Kamran Khan, allegedly used Facebook and Whatsapp to trap the minor girl and obtain objectionable pictures of her.
Officials said the suspect shared the minor girl's pictures on Whatsapp and demanded money from her.

The suspect's mobile phone and WhatsApp account were seized by the authorities, they said.
FIA officials said that further investigation is underway.
