Tamasha collaborates with Fahad Mustafa for its first ever original series starring Asim Azhar

Tamasha's 'Family Biznis' stellar cast and invigorating storytelling grabs attention

 

The rise of OTT platforms is providing immense opportunities for the creative players in the industry to produce out-of-the-box content that can be consumed and enjoyed by a wide audience on their preferred devices anywhere, anytime!

Adopting the trend, Pakistan's renowned homegrown OTT video streaming and entertainment platform Tamasha and Fahad Mustafa’s Big Bang Entertainment have teamed up to bring together major stars for a one-of-a-kind web series 'Family Bizniss', which includes big names such as Asim Azhar, Mah-e-nur Haider, Saife Hasan, Salma Hasan, Bushra Habib, and Hussain Mohsin.

The trailer for this exciting original series by Tamasha was rolled out in a launch event held on 9^th March in Islamabad with well-known entertainers in attendance. Aamer Ejaz from Tamasha’s leadership highlighted that the web series was created to pay patronage to local content.

He further teased by providing a glimpse of the theme dominating the web series will be struggles of middle-class family in a lighthearted and fun way while subtly spreading awareness about digital inclusion among the youth.

Fahad Mustafa, the producer of Family Bizniss, revealed he was looking for an opportunity to create original content for a platform like Tamasha. On the trailer launch of Tamasha's first original webseries, he shared:

This web series is nothing like the content we’ve seen before. Unlike the usual content where foul language and themes surrounding damsels in distress are commonly used as a recipe for success, Family Bizniss explores a fun and interesting theme wholeheartedly. You’ll get to enjoy something lighthearted, original, and relatable.

A young director for the web series was deliberately chosen in Bilal Atif Khan as he has showcased his expertise numerous times with content that reflects the problems and interests of the youth.

I’ve had the privilege to work with the very talented Bilal Atif Khan on many films. He has always put his heart and soul into every film that he has assisted our production with, and that too in a very creative and mature manner, reflecting his true talent.

Fans are utterly excited to watch the elite singer step into the world of OTT. Asim Azhar shared his pleasant experience, highlighting how he loved working with Tamasha because the digital platform puts an end to a lot of limitations, and provides actors the chance to stand up to the expectations of a wider audience.

Speaking about the challenges of debuting on Tamasha, Asim Azhar revealed:

Working with top-notch actors like Saife bhai, Salma ji, and even the young actors was a phenomenal experience, but also tough in terms of performing up to the standards of these immensely talented people. However, everyone made me so comfortable and the script was written so meticulously that it helped stir the roller coaster of emotions as a good script should.

Some scenes even made me question my acting skills as to whether I'll be able to do justice to them. In my opinion, when a story is presented skillfully, even the simplest one can make a huge impact.

"Family stays. The family will always stay, just remember that…" expressed the lead actor of Family Bizniss, Asim Azhar.

Fahad Mustafa was also all praise for the uber-talented Asim Azhar. “He’s a youth icon who works hard despite how talented he is. The multifaceted guy is the best option because not only does the youth of our country respect him but also because he has shown that he’s full of talent which has still not been capitalised properly. It seems as if no one could do the character better than Asim!”

The stellar cast, brilliant direction, creative storytelling, and many other aspects shown in the trailer have already set the tone for success for Family Bizniss.
