India crushes Pakistan in a low scoring match to open their account with a victory in the ICC women's T20 World Cup.

Pakistan after winning the toss decided to bat first. Pakistan were struggling from the start, but gathered some degree of control thanks to the 81-run stand between Ayesha Naseem and Bismah Maroof and went on to score 149 runs after losing four wickets in 20 overs.

Captain Bismah Maroof scored brilliant 55-ball 68 runs knock, including seven boundaries, whereas Ayesha Naseem played 25-ball 43 runs knco, including two boundaries and two massive sixes.

In reply, India started quite slowly and lost three quick wickets inside first ten overs.

Nashra Sandhu took two main wickets in her spell including the important wicket of Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur.

Jemimah Rodrigues played a match winning innings of 38-ball 53 runs,which included eight boundaries. Richa Ghosh also contributed in the victory, after scoring 20-ball 31 runs, including five boundaries.

With this Pakistan's streak of losing against India continues.
