ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad Police have rounded up its personnel, stationed at the I-9 police station in the federal capital, on charges of blackmailing a woman using various tactics, forcefully using her mobile phone to send the pictures of her family members to his mobile phone, taking objectionable pictures of the victim and threatening her to post such pictures on social media.

Sources said a case was registered in the Women Police Station against the policeman stationed at the I-9 police station on the charges of blackmailing the woman for one and a half years and harassing her in various ways.

According to the police, a woman resident of Sector G-7 said in her report that she was employed at a private firm. “I met a person named Noman, who said that he is a federal police personnel and can help me a lot,” the victim said.

“He pretended to be sympathetic towards me and we exchanged mobile phone numbers and then he forcibly sent my bold photos to his mobile phone against my will,” the victim added.

The woman told the police that the suspect had been blackmailing her for the past one and a half years, causing her and her children severe mental stress.

She further stated that the accused has been threatening to post her objectionable pictures on social media for the last five months.

“My private life has been ruined. He also threatens to harm me and my husband,” the victim said.

Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case and arrested the suspected police official.
