More than 2,500 male and female athletes from various universities of the country came marching on the ground of Pakistan Sports Board Complex for the All Pakistan Inter-varsity Games 2022-23.
Higher Education Commission is playing a prominent role in the promotion of sports in the universities across the country, that is the reason why Pakistan has been receiving many talented sports players from the universities who have gone on to make the country and the nation famous. Provincial Minister of Universities and Boards Ismail Raho expressed these views while addressing the opening ceremony which was inaugurated by Labour and Youth Minister Saeed Ghani.
The four-day sports competitions will see girls and boys from more than 50 universities from all over the country participating in football, basketball, volleyball, netball, archery, chess and other events including athletics.
Saeed Ghani said he was happy to see students participating in healthy activities.
Ghani said that Sindh government is working for the promotion of sports, while national sport hockey is also among our priorities.
University of Karachi VC Khalid Mahmood Iraqi said students wait all year for the inter-university competitions.
