After six long years, fans finally got to see Farhan Saeed and Urwa Hocane onscreen. The duo, who last starred in the social drama, Udaari, came together as Hasan and Dania in Meri Shehzadi. The drama serial, which was reportedly inspired by the late British Princess, Diana, stars Hocane, Saeed, Ali Rehman Khan, and Atiqa Odho in pivotal roles.
Taking to Instagram, Odho shared a picture with her co-stars and wrote, "Meri Shehzadi has a new cast member, Farhan Saeed which is adding more colour to our unique story."
The Suno Chanda star essays Dr Hasan, presumably inspired by Dr Hasnat Khan, in the show. Sunday's episode saw the first appearance of Saeed in Qasim Ali Mureed's drama and fans are loving him!

The serial is said to have all glimpses of love, anguish and tragedy. The serial beautifully captures the reminiscence of Lady Diana in of the main characters, Dania (Hocane) from her growing years to when the tragedy struck in the house of royalty. And this seems effortlessly portrayed by the Udaari star.
Meri Shehzadi has introduced us to Hocane's character, who can be seen as a political leader, a philanthropist, a survivor and a princess of hearts. "It's about time that we need to portray strong female figures and Meri Shehzadi is filled with these messages, where the viewers will learn along the way," Hocane added.
It certainly is a breath of fresh air seeing an actress taking such a challenging and thought-provoking role in times when women's empowerment is much needed.
