Recently, renowned actor Imran Ashraf and Kiran Ashfaque parted ways after a four-year long marriage. After their announcement online, many internet users resorted to morally policing the Badzaat actor's ex-wife for posting "chill' and "happy" posts on her Instagram feed.
Taunting the model, one user commented on an old post on Instagram. They wrote, "I'm shocked at how chill you appear after your home just fell apart."
In response to the criticism, Kiran asked, "So do you want me to die after divorce?" The model then shared a screenshot of the comment and her response on an Instagram story with a caption that read, "I swear to Allah, I'm done with all these comments. Especially from women! In our society, people will never let a girl live peacefully, no matter what. What do you guys want from a girl after divorce? Suicide?"
On October 17, taking it to Instagram, Imran penned a story on behalf of the couple. He said, "With a heavy heart, we announce that we have mutually and respectfully decided to part ways."
He further acknowledged their son and promised to continue being the "best" parents for him. "The primary concern for both of us will remain our son, Roham for whom we will continue to be the best possible parents." He added.
The Dil Lagi actor then requested his fans to respect their privacy and support them in this time of hardship. He concluded, "We request the fans, well-wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Love and respect for all."
