Sindh IG orders early arrest of wanted suspects

IG police says absconders should be arrested, proceeded against as per law without any delay

Sindh chief minister's adviser on human rights has raised the issue of non-arrest of human rights offenders in a meeting with the provincial police chief at the Central Police Office.

Surrendar Valasai, Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister on Human Rights, informed the IG Police that the culprits involved in gang-rapes, rapes, and abuse of children, women and transgender people were roaming free in some districts, which is causing frustration and fear among the victims and their families as well civil society.

The IG police ordered the arrest of all absconders involved in the cases of human rights violations, including gang-rape, rage, abuses of women, children and transgender, in the province. He said that those who were nominated in such FIRs and were absconding should be arrested and proceeded against as per law without any delay.
