Pakistan's white-ball captain Shadab Khan is ready to bat at any number for the side in the upcoming matches.

The Men in Green is slated to play three ODIs in the Netherlands, followed by Asia Cup in UAE which will be played in T20 format.

While talking to the media in Lahore, the all-rounder said that he is always eager to meet the demands of the team.

"If there is a decision on my request, I am even ready to play as an opener too," Shadab chuckled. "But one has to look at the need of the team, Definitely, if team and situation demands, I am ready to play at any batting number," he added.

Shadab further added that the side is gelled like a family as they spent most of their time together. "Under the leadership of Babar Azam, all the players are gelled and are eager to perform well in the upcoming matches."

The series against the Netherlands will start a busy season for the Men in Green where they will play matches till January 2023 on home and away venues. Shadab added that they are focused on the ODI matches only right now.

"Points are important in every series of the ICC World Cup Super League, so the focus is now on the Netherlands tour, keeping that in mind, we are preparing hard," he added.
