Google believes its latest programming language can succeed C++

The new programming language, Carbon, though still an experiment, is expected to succeed and topple C++

Google's new programming language, Carbon, is believed to overthrow C++ and replace it. While some may have thought Rust to be the successor, Carbon is going to be interoperable with C++, ensuring a smooth migration for users.

Coding language has developed and improved over the years, replacing current models with better and easier ones for use. Principal Software Engineer at Google, Chandler Carruth, said that Carbon was initially a Mozilla product and does not have the “bi-directional interoperability” like other tools. This drawback creates a kind of language barrier when translating between different coding languages.

Currently, the Carbon family comprises mostly Google employees. However, the team believes that it needs to have “an independent and community driven project” for it to be successful. 

Carbon language is not only accessible, but is also inclusive with the project's culture. The coding language is currently working as an experiment according to Tech Rader, but can be downloaded for users to try.
