For brides, grooms and their dance teams, you’ve got a new song to add to your list of wedding bangers! The Eidul Azha release London Nahi Jaunga dropped another song, Mahiya Ve Mahiya, from their film and this one’s a groovy Punjabi number with actor Kubra Khan showing some stellar dance moves.

Featuring the powerful melodic voices of Meesha Shafi and Shani Arshad, Mahiya Ve Mahiya stands out for its distinct vocal combination. Unlike the usual loud and bassy wedding songs, this one is a mellow track which makes you tap your feet and clap with the beat. It’s almost like a storytelling of a Punjabi wedding where the whole family, from children to the elderly, can move to it.

The extravagance and chaos of the set, the clothes and the props only add to the larger Punjabi wedding feel. The music video has a bit of everything from laughs, movement, thumkas, patiala shalwars and so much more to create a familial wholesome vibe. Kubra Khan enters the screen in a gorgeous pink and gold ensemble as she charms her way to a handsome Humayun Saeed, her Mahi. The song also shows glimpses of actors Gohar Rasheed and Mehar Bano.

However, groovy, the song has failed some social media users for sounding like a remake of Shazia Mansoor's 2014 song Ballay Ballay.

The Nadeem Baig directorial is much-awaited amongst fans not just for its star studded cast but also to find how Fawad’s (Saeed) storyline progresses from where they last left him in Punjab Nahi Jaungi. The writer of the film, Khalilur Rehman Qamar, has yet again kept the premise the film in the grandeur of the feudal lords and rural setting. With Saeed’s character stuck in a love triangle with that of Mehwish Hayat and Khan, the trailer depicted twists and turns in his love life, followed by other characters playing significant roles.

Taking care of all things entertainment for the festive holiday break, London Nahi Jaunga hits the cinemas on Eidul Azha along with Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan’s crime thriller Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad and Salman Saqib aka Mani’s horror-comedy Lafangey.
