City District Council approves Rs4b surplus budget

The budget has special allocation for the development of rural areas of Karachi

KARACHI:

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) City District Council has proposed a surplus budget of Rs4.067 billion for the year 2022-23.

The Council, a department of KMC, has the responsibility to approve the annual development plan and budgetary proposals of the various union council administrations.

The budget has special allocation for the development of rural areas of Karachi, said the administrator of Karachi city district council.

According to reports, while presenting the budget, the city district council administration said that the new budget will be helpful for development and provision of basic infrastructure in Karachi.
