The Punjab government has allocated over Rs600 million for the up gradation and construction of five police stations in Rawalpindi district.
The police stations are functioning either in dilapidated government buildings or privately owned buildings.
The Punjab government has allocated R 500 million for enhancing facilities in existing police stations in government buildings while Rs112.3 million has been allocated for the construction of five new police stations and the up-gradation of Sihala Police Training College.
All police stations will have a clean waiting area, clean drinking water, fans and washrooms for visitors. Provision of all basic facilities of good quality for police personnel will also be ensured at these police stations.
Apart from the construction of new buildings for five police stations in Rawalpindi, the expansion of existing police stations will not only enhance the efficiency of the police but also provide a better and cleaner environment for the citizens visiting the police stations.
Upgraded facilities will now be provided at all police stations including clean washrooms, cold drinking water and regular sitting area.
