PESAHAWAR:

Police on Wednesday solved the blind murder case of an 11-year-old girl Hina who was brutally slaughtered in Pishtakhara area of the city a few days ago.

Police told The Express Tribune that a maternal uncle of the poor girl and his girlfriend had been arrested.

“The accused Sajid is the uncle of unfortunate girl Hina. On the day of the incident, he took Hina to the house of his girlfriend on the pretext of taking her out,” said a police official, adding that at the house the child allegedly spotted both her uncle and the woman in a compromising position which finally led to her brutal murder.

“Both the accused wanted to keep their secret and when they found out that the child saw them they decided to kill her so she was beheaded with a knife,” added the official, saying that the body of the child was then dumped on a garbage pile and Sajid fled.

“The woman was arrested red handed while trying to wash the blood when police raided her house on suspicion and the knife used in the murder was also recovered from her possession,” he said, adding that other accused had also been included in the investigation but Sajid was the main accused along with the woman.

Further investigation is underway.
