Railways operations are yet to return to normal despite the passage of two days since the Karachi train accident.
Train operations between Lahore and Karachi are being delayed for hours, with trains leaving for their destination six to seven hours past schedule.
Many passengers have gotten refunds for their tickets due to improper operations, causing losses to the Pakistan Railways.
It may be recalled that the engine and three passenger bogies of Rehman Baba Express had derailed at the meeting station near Jhimpir in the Thatta district on Friday.
However, no passenger was injured in the incident. The train was transporting passengers from Peshawar to Karachi. The cause of the derailment is still not known.

Similarly, the 42 Down Karakoram Express travelling from Lahore via Faisalabad left for its destination after six hours.
Moreover, the Shah Hussain Express left at 11pm, a delay of four hours.
Furthermore, Karachi Express’ departure was also delayed by hours.
The railways administration says that practical steps are being taken to send the trains to their destinations as soon as possible.
