Scholars shed light on Iqbal’s poetry in exploring one's inner self

The Lahore Arts Council (LAC) organised a Seminar titled "Iqbal and Khudi" on the occasion of “Jashan-e-Khudhi” on Friday at Alhamra Arts Centre, the Mall.

In the inaugural address, the Executive Director Alhamra Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi welcomed all the guests and said that Sectary Information and Culture Raja Jahangir Anwar's special efforts took Jashan-e-Khudi to the next level.

The Lahore Arts Council will continue to promote Iqbal's thoughts and ideology.

On the occasion, Justice Nasira Javed, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, Dr Waheed Al-Zaman and Dr Baseera Ambereen spoke to shed light on Iqbal’s Khudi. Justice Nasira Javed said that you and your children should follow the path indicated by Allama Iqbal.

She said that our youth should read Iqbal's wisdom-packed poetry and learn to recognise the Khudi and their inner self. Director Bazm Iqbal Riaz Ahmad Chaudhry also attended the seminar.

Well-known Iqbal scholar Dr Waheedu Zaman while reciting Kalam-e-Iqbal in the ceremony, said Iqbal gave the idea of Khudi so that our people can understand the reason they are born for.

The event was attended by a large number of people who love Iqbal and appreciated the efforts of the administration.

Dr Baseera Ambereen in her speech said that to understand Iqbal, man needs the external eyes as well as the heart and the eyes of feeling inside him.
