Karachi Kings' President Wasim Akram has explained the discussion he had with captain Babar Azam during the last stages of the match against Multan Sultans in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season seven.

There has been debate among netizens and former cricketers over the harsh reaction of Wasim Akram as they pretended that the former captain was being furious towards the Pakistan captain.

In a Twitter post, the 55-year-old Wasim was surprised to see these reactions and revealed that he only asked Babar about the bowlers' plans as they were not executing and conceded too many runs at the backend. He also hailed Babar for trying his best in the match that Kings lost by seven wickets.

"Hello ! Surprised to see reactions on my talking to Babar at the boundary last night. What I was saying was ‘why our bowlers are not bowling yorkers or slower ones offside off’.nothing else," Wasim tweeted.

"Babar is a wonderful boy and has tried his best. And what he wants for dinner," he added.
