Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill on Wednesday said the opposition was set to face more challenges with the unearthing of more plunder of public wealth in days to come.

The minister accused Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz of drawing “billions from the accounts of a peon to launder money”.
He quipped that the PML-N leaders should be awarded medals for “turning ordinary people like peons into billionaires”.
On the recent huddle of the multi-party alliance, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), he reiterated that they had "gotten together in defence of their corruption and were struggling to save themselves".

Responding to a question on yet another hike in the prices of petroleum products, the SAPM said these "had to be increased" as per the international market, expressing the optimism that the prices will decrease in few months.
He claimed that the country's economy was stable with a "growth rate of 5.3 per cent and the foreign exchange reserves reaching $22 billion," adding that "major industries including those of textile and construction had experienced a boom".
Nearly a week ago, the PDM announced bringing a no-confidence motion against the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The announcement was made following a key meeting of the multi-party alliance during a press conference in Islamabad.
