Three students shot, injured in Mansehra

Police booked the suspect and also recovered the weapon from his possession

MANSEHRA:

An alleged drug addict shot and injured three students of Peran High School on Wednesday.

Rescue 1122 workers shifted the injured to King Abdullah Hospital after administering first aid.

Saddar Police officials said the suspect, identified as Iqrar Hussain, opened fired at the students, due to which Muhammad Niyaz, Ahsan, and Bilal Hussain suffered serious injuries.

The police booked the suspect and also recovered the weapon from his possession.

Mansehra district police officer and the deputy commisioner visited the hospital and inquired about the health of the students. The victims are reported to be out of danger.

Meanwhile, police have remained clueless about the killers of two policemen who were found dead in the jurisdiction of Khaki police station.

A few days ago, constable Adil Manzoor and Hamza Khalid were found dead. Manzoor was transferred to the district police from the Frontier Reserve Police, and later to Lower Kohistan from Abbottabad. Sources said Khalid was deployed at the Patan police station, from where he left for Islamabad on special duty and did not return. He was a resident of Langra area of Havelian tehsil.

The DPO said they were probing into the incident meticulously and would trace the suspects soon.
