Govt efforts for public health unprecedented, claims Sarwar

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has inaugurated four water filtration plants of Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority (PAPA) on Saturday. He also laid the foundation stone of a school and inaugurated Sarwar Foundation Hospital at Ghaziabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Sarwar said 1,500 water schemes of PAPA will be completed by end of the current year.

The governor further said steps taken by the federal government as well as Punjab government in health and education sectors in the country during the past three years were unprecedented and exemplry.

“Pakistan is moving forward in all sectors, including the economy despite the most difficult circumstances owing to the coronavirus pandemic.”

He underlined that the opposition always puts its political and personal interests ahead of national interests. “The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government has no threat from the opposition. The government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan is taking practical steps to purge the institutions of political interference and strengthen them.”

The PTI-led government will complete its constitutional term.
