Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez, who is representing Muzaffarabad Tigers, wants to promote the soft image of the region through Kashmir Premier League (KPL).

While speaking to Cricket Pakistan in an exclusive interview, the all-rounder said Muzaffarabad Stadium can become an international venue in future.

“We want to play good cricket and with the right spirit, inorder to make this league successful which will promote soft image of Kashmir to the world,” Hafeez said.

“I am in Muzaffarabad for the first time. The matches so far have been competitive, so overall it is good experience. The stadium here can become an international venue if its facilities are upgraded for Pakistan,” he added.

Hafeez was happy to contribute to Pakistan’s victory in the second T20I of the recently-concluded four-match series against West Indies.

“I initially had difficulty with a new bowling action but my experience helped me. I am happy to contribute in Pakistan’s win in any way possible. “I am very happy that as a bowler, it was my first man of the match award and I will always remember it for the rest of my life,” he said.

“I have always believed that if my contribution as a batsman or as a bowler is not in a winning cause, then it is of no use, so I try to give my best in each facet,” he added.
