The second season of Lanka Premier League (LPL) is in a fix after sudden scheduling of Kashmir Premier League, as it will deprive the league of top Pakistani cricketers.

While speaking to ANI, Sri Lanka Cricket vice president Ravin Wickramaratne said the scheduling of KPL has thrown their plans into doldrums.

"We haven’t decided anything as of yet, we will be deciding today. You will have to wait patiently. It is not PCB I think, it is Pakistan government who has decided on hosting the KPL. We are deciding whether to go ahead of postpone the LPL, that decision the management will take," Ravin said.

The draft for the inaugural edition of the KPL was held in Islamabad on Saturday, where all six participating teams formulated their squads. The event is scheduled to take place from August 6-16, 2021, in Muzaffarabad.
