Kabul may take part in domestic T20
The Twenty20 event contains thirteen teams divided in four groups but with the induction of Afghanistan’s team, there may be two groups of seven teams each.
“We’re happy to be hosting the event,” Rawalpindi region’s President Major (r) Naeem Akhtar Gilani told The Express Tribune. “It’s an uphill task but we’ll put together a good tournament. The main difficulty is to improve the state of the stadium. The renovation work is on hold.
“We’re focusing on repairing the floodlights, ground conditions and the stands. I hope everything is complete by next month.”
