Kamal calls for ‘grand national dialogue’

Pak Sarzameen Party Chairperson Mustafa Kamal stressed on Thursday the need for a "grand national dialogue," to set the country on the path to development, slamming in the same instance a party' leadership - without specifying which party, but hinting at the ruling party in the Centre, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, - for "locking its representatives in hotels on the eve of Senate elections".

Addressing PSP workers on the occasion of 'Yaum-e-Tashakkur', he underscored the need for reforms in the system and reaching a census at the national level to set national goals.

"It is impossible to set the country on the path to development unless the system improves," he said, urging the government to announce a "grand national dialogue."

He then went on to say that he "curses the kind of politics wherein the party leadership locks party representatives in hotels on the eve of the Senate elections."

"It only happens when the leader himself lacks moral integrity, rigs elections, buys and sells votes and is afraid of betrayal by the representatives of his party," said Kamal.

He added that the Senate election had proved that there was no difference between the current and former rulers, "and this style of politics cannot bring any improvement in the country."
