President Arif Alvi congratulates organisers of Kashmir Premier League

President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Arif Alvi, congratulated the organisers for launching the Kashmir Premier League (KPL).

While speaking in a video message on KPL’s Twitter account, Alvi opened up about the significance of the league for the people of the region.

“I want to congratulate the people of Azad Kashmir for the launch of Kashmir Premier League. People are artificially brought in Indian occupied Kashmir to show that there is peace there. Whereas in contrast, the launch of KPL will show the world that there is actually peace in Azad Kashmir. The organisers should be appreciated for launching this league as it will give a positive message to the world,” said Alvi.

Alvi also reiterated that he wants peace to prevail in the entire region.

“We want peace and want to fulfil the promises we have made to the people of Kashmir. It is not a matter of territory, but we want to strengthen our relations with the people there,” he concluded.
