The Pakistan Army organised free medical and eye surgical camp from February 3 to 15 in the far-flung area of Cholistan, military’s media wing said on Monday.
In a statement released by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), special teams of doctors, with support of the district, established medical camps in the areas of Ahmed Pur East, Channan Pir and Din Garh in Punjab.
The press release added that the medical camps operated special mobile services for the local people, with lab and X-Ray facilities.

In addition, medical teams provided free eye checkup and glasses along with free eye laser procedure for the treatment of cataract.
ISPR added further that the camp performed more than 500 free surgical laser procedures, along with treating and providing prescription glasses to 4500-5000 individuals.
The military's outreach programme is aimed at launching healthcare services for the population and are established regularly throughout the year for the people of Cholistan and all such remote areas, ISPR statement maintained.
