'Meray Paas Tum Ho 2' in the works?

After confirming to work with his co-star Humayun Saeed yet again, Adnan Siddiqui finally has an answer!

It's been more than a year since Meray Paas Tum Ho came to an end. The show garnered its fair share of love and criticism by the audience, owing to its storyline and problematic statements by its writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar. After the blockbuster came to its conclusion, many have wondered whether there will be a sequel to the hit drama serial.  

And now, Adnan Siddiqui has an answer. 

Taking to Instagram, the Mom star shared a small clip with his Meray Paas Tum Ho co-star and quipped, "What’s cooking?"

Looking dapper in suits and seated in an office, Siddiqui went on to add, "Sworn enemies turning friends? Danish and Shehwar burying the hatchet? From daggers drawn to brothers in arms? Meray Paas Tum Ho Part 2? Something new?"

He then shared how both onscreen nemesis were hoarded with questions on whether we will see them sharing screen once again. To this, the actor penned, "Humayun and I were constantly asked these and similar questions during the photoshoot, yet again making us aware of the immense love Mere Paas Tum Ho has garnered and continues to by all of you."

"For the sake of that adulation and accolades that came our way through Mere Paas Tum Ho, both of us are sharing the screen again in a fresh series, Law and Love," Siddiqui continued, adding, "This joint collaboration between Cereal Entertainment and Six Sigma Plus brings your two favourites together in a gripping story. We hope to make Law and Love into a blockbuster too because, as I always say, Meray Paas Tum Ho!"

Earlier, in an interview with BBC Urdu, the celebrated star had revealed how he has set a bar for himself after essaying they cunning Shehwaar Ahmed. "I don't know what to do next. There have been a couple of job offers, but it's not fun. It is not an easy task to maintain or improve the standards when the people raised the standard."

The actor went on to add how even when offered a new script, it could not be Meray Paas Tum Ho and if there was a play like this that received the same response, there would be no luckier man than him. 

"Such a drama comes in about ten years," Siddiqui asserted. "Even Humsafar came a few years ago, and then Meray Paas Tum Ho has come after eight or ten years. I don't think I will be able to perform to the standard I've set for myself after this one."
