FIA boss in the federal capital was sent packing to the Establishment Division recently

In a reshuffle, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has posted Waqar Chauhan as the new FIA Islamabad Zone Director.

The FIA boss in the federal capital was sent packing to the Establishment Division recently after an earlier change of police chief and the operations chief of the city.

Chauhan was working as the additional director of the Integrated Border Management System (IBMS) and Immigration Headquarters.

FIA Headquarters Establishment Director Tariq Pervez issued on Tuesday a notification for the appointment and transfer of three officials.

Besides Chauhan, FIA Balochistan Zone Quetta Director Shakeel Ahmad Durrani has been posted as the FIA headquarters administration director, while FIA Sindh Zone Additional Director Abdul Hameed Bhutto has been deployed as the FIA Balochistan acting director.

The officers have been asked to report immediately to the place of deployment.

A day ago, FIA Admin Director Mir Waiz Niaz was transferred to work with the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government. He is likely to be posted as the Hazara DIG.

After the recent visit of Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed to the FIA and the Immigration Department at the Islamabad International Airport (IIA), FIA Islamabad Zone Director Dr Moin Masood had been transferred to the establishment division.
