The Ferozabad Police arrested on Monday night seven suspected members of the notorious white Corolla gang after an exchange of fire in Bahadurabad.

Four of the seven arrested men were injured in firing.

The police said a white Corolla, a motorcycle, a submachine gun, two 9mm pistols, three 30-bore pistols and ammunitions were seized from the possession of the arrested suspects.

Ferozabad SHO inspector Aurangzeb Khattak told The Express Tribune that the police received a complaint on Madadgar-15 helpline about the presence of a “suspicious” white Corolla and motorcycle in a Bahadurabad neighbourhood.

The complainants told the police that the men in car and on the motorcycle seemed to be reconnoitering the locality, the SHO said, adding that a police party encircled the specified locality.

“Upon seeing the police, the suspects opened fire on them while trying to escape and some of them were injured in retaliatory firing,” he said.

According to the SHO, four of the suspects were injured and the rest surrendered themselves to the police. The injured suspects were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre in police custody.
