BALAKOT:

The lawmakers of ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) failed to start any mega project in the Balakot Tehsil during the last two years.

Owing to this, the locals of Balakot have become disappointed with the performance of the PTI lawmakers.

They said that no new bridges or roads were constructed in Balakot during the period while the lawmakers relied on just giving statements of launching projects that would change the fate of the constituency

Community elders of Balakot told The Express Tribune that people had returned MNA Saleh Muhammad Khan and MPA Syed Ahmed Hasan Shah to national and provincial assembly with wide margins against a joint candidate of opponents. However, the abysmal performance of the PTI officials has left the locals disappointed, they said.

They remndid that a 60-day deadline was set to complete the 300-megawatt Balakot Hydropower Project by the CM Mahmood Khan in October 2020. Even that project has not been completed so far.
