Police seize over 15,000 kites in Jan

The CPO has directed them for effective policing measures in the city

RAWALPINDI:

The Rawalpindi police have seized around 15,635 kites and 88 kite flying string rolls from the possession of 19 suspects during January, a police spokesman said.

City Police Officer (CPO) Ahsan Younas has ordered a crackdown against people involved in kite selling and flying.

Police have arrested Usman, Zaki Hanif, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Tauheedi, Attaur Rehman, Irfan Mehmood, Hamza, Imran, Sabir, Irfan Haider, Kamran, Mubeen, Rafaqat Hussain, Haris Ashfaq, Usman, Talal, Abdul Rehman, Ahsan Younas and others from the precincts of Taxila, Civil Lines, Race Course, Cantt, Waris Khan and Pirwadhai police stations.

The CPO has appreciated performance of the police officers and directed them for effective policing measures in the city.
