Pakistan Railways resumed the train service, Mehran Express, from Karachi to Mirpurkhas on Sunday.
A Member of the National Assembly from Hyderabad, Sabir Hussain Qaimkhani, bade goodbye to the passengers of the restored service at the Karachi City Station.
Mehran Express will reach Mirpurkhas from Karachi in four-and-a-half hours, covering around 250 kilometres, having eight stops in its route at Cantt Station, Drigh Road Railway Station, Landhi, Jungshahi, Kotri, Hyderabad, Tando Jam and Tando Allahyar.
The resumed train service comprises nine economy class coaches and a brake van, having a cumulative passenger capacity of 734 people.
The train will leave from Karachi at 3:55pm and will leave from Mirpurkhas at 5am.
